SmartScan uses complex and efficient algorithms to accurately detect document edges, correct their perspective, eliminate shadows, and perfectly contrast text, black on white. You can also choose between color and black-and-white photo modes. Our user interface is powerful and easy to use. With this app you can easily adjust the brightness, color, and rotation of your device.

SmartScan offers SuperScan, a scanning mode that captures sharper images, especially in low-light conditions. Acquiring multiple takes of the same scan, SuperScan guarantees the best result.

Scanning tips
• Make sure the document is laying flat in a bright location
• For optimal edge detection results, make sure to have a contrasting outline or margin around your document while snapping the photo
• When shooting in low light conditions, use flash to illuminate the scene. However, be careful not to produce too much glare from shiny documents or surfaces.

Does exactly what it says! Great for scanning photos and emailing them
Very useful to save to separate folder. Thinking about the applications of the scan set this apart.
Works great for expense receipts of different shapes Scan and email as PDF which has the dimensions of the receipt, which helps a lot if your corporate expense application does a preview of the receipts
Meets my needs. Continue to think of opportunities to use it.
Very friendly interface, easy to use and it gives nice results. I would like to be able the zoom in the picture while editing the document, but this feature is not there.
Good app, though the interface needs improvement in terms of appearance, inline with iOS design.

Some bad moments

This was my go to app for scanning in iOS 6. Upgraded to iOS 7 and it literally does not work - crashes each time you snap a scan. Frustrating. Would be nice to have this fixed before I move to another app. Hope the devs hear this.
It doesnt run I had installed “PhotoScan PDF Pro” before and I installed it, then both apps dont run anymore. I tried restarting iPhone and re-installing them, but the problem remains! iOS5.1.1
I use this to scan receipts for my business. It is a very quick way to scan receipts and email them to myself to keep track of my records. Cons: I wish there was a way to manipulate the pictures like photo album when you could select multiple pictures to send or to delete. I have had to delete the pictures one at a time and that is in efficient
This app, unlike many others, does not allow you to scan multiple pages of a document then name and save documents. Why allow only a one page scan? I dont believe the multiple so called positive reviews given the major missing functions.
Would like to be able to use full functions BEFORE having to write a review.
This app is very handy to do a quick scan- allows you to easily straighten and crop and choose between bw and color. More ability to lighten and darken would give it 4 stars from me. Worth the $$!! Would recommend!
